Girls golf finishes third in Hawkeye-10 Tournament

Monday at Majestic Hills Golf Course in Denison, the HCHS girls golf team competed in the Hawkeye-10 Tournament, placing third among 11 teams with 421, 38 strokes behind the winner Atlantic.
“I thought they played really well, really smart,” said Cyclones Head Coach Todd Bladt. “We just had a few blowout holes that we’ve got to try and eliminate. If we could get those out of there, we’d shoot some really darn nice scores.”

Former HCSD teacher cited with sexual exploitation

Schmitz moves into top 10 in hurdles

Cyclone Sophomore Jaylee Schmitz made history recently during the Bruce Henderson Invite at Atlantic High School when she moved into 9th place all time with a 17.09 time in the hurdles.

The HCHS boys varsity golf team took first place with 316 strokes beating out Kuemper Catholic by one, Denison by three and Atlantic by four in the Hawkeye-10 Tournament Thursday.
