Volleyball: IKM-M wins in five

 LOGAN -- For the second time in three nights, IKM-Manning prevailed in a five-set Western Iowa Conference volleyball match here Thursday, outlasting Logan-Magnolia 25-20, 25-16, 23-25, 23-25, 15-7. Junior Hanna Mullen put together a string of seven serves during the deciding fifth set as the Wolves improved to 2-1 in the WIC and 14-7 overall. “This match was a total team effort,” stated IKM-M coach Kathy Lage.

Cyclones seek Bladt’s 400th win at No. 10 Glenwood

 GLENWOOD (Sept. 15) -- One way or another, some history will be made Friday night when Harlan Community travels to Glenwood for a key early-season matchup in Class 3A, District 7. If the Cyclones win, Hall of Fame coach Curt Bladt will become just the third head football coach in Iowa prep history to reach the 400-win mark for his career.

Wolves outlast Lady Vikes in five

 MANNING (Sept. 12) -- The IKM-Manning volleyball team improved to 13-7 overall and 1-1 in Western Iowa Conference play Tuesday night with a five-set win over AHSTW. The Wolves prevailed 25-11, 15-25, 25-12, 21-25, 15-9. Caitlin Muhlbauer led the Wolves with 17 kills and four blocks.

Greve earns all-academic recognition

 BROOKLYN, NY -- For the second time this year, Central Missouri bowler Andrea Greve has been recognized for academic excellence. Greve was one of seven Jennies named to the National Tenpin Coaches Association All-Academic team this summer.
