    BENNINGTON, NE -- Armelia Claire Reding, 84, Bennington, NE, died October 3 at Ridgewood Retirement Community.    Services will be held Saturday, Oct. 7 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Omaha with burial in the Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Defiance.  A wake service will be held Friday, Oct. 6 at 7 p.m. at the church in Omaha.  Visitation is Friday from 4-7 p.m.

DIESEL SPILL CLEAN-UP

HARLAN -- Harlan firefighters helped clean up a diesel fuel spill along Chatburn Ave. near Shopko early Tuesday morning, Oct. 3. Harlan Fire Chief Roger Bissen said firefighters were called to the scene about 6:41 a.m. after a semi from Petersen Bros.
