    MANNING -- Funeral services for 4-year-old Jed Riesselman of rural Manning will be held Tuesday, Aug. 17 at 10:00 a.m. at the Manning Hausbarn Konferenz Centre in Manning.    Visitation was held on Monday, Aug. 16 from 4-7 p.m. at the Manning Hausbarn Konferenz Centre.    Jed died unexpectedly at Manning Regional Healthcare Center in Manning on Thursday, Aug.

Teresa Williams-Rozenbloom, 63

    HARVEY -- Teresa Williams-Rosenbloom, 63, Harvey, died August 11 at Hospice of Pella.    Services were held Monday, Aug. 16 at 11 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Harlan with burial in the Harlan Cemetery.    She is survived by her husband, Dennis Rozenboom, of Harvey; sons Brent Williams of Harvey, Christopher Rozenbloom of Pella, and Curtis (Kendra Willoughby) Rozenbloom of St.

Emgarten leads area list of IGCA All-State softball players

 AREA -- Led by first-teamer Macy Emgarten, four players from three local schools have been named to the 2021 Iowa Girls Coaches Association’s All-State Softball teams. Emgarten, a junior from Exira-Elk Horn-Kimballton, made the Class 1A first team this summer after being selected for the second team last year and the honorable mention list in 2019.

Harlan Library Used Book Sale under way

    HARLAN -- The Harlan Community Library is having its annual used book sale August 9-September 4 during regular business hours.  All proceeds from the sale go to fund the library’s various children and adult programs.

MMC Auxiliary Bazaar set for September 9

Avoca Public Library receives STEM kit grant
