    WALNUT -- Kivin Michael Peck, Jr., 22, Walnut, died April 4.    Services were held Friday, April 9 at 1 p.m. at the Walnut Community School in Walnut.    Peck is survived by mother Julie Peck and father Kivin Peck, Sr.

Marcia Harper, 87

    HARLAN -- Marcia Elaine Harper, 87, Harlan, died April 7 at Elm Crest Retirement Community.    Services are pending at Pauley Jones Funeral Home for a later date.    Harper is survived by daughters Beth (Ron) Buck of Harlan, Nancy Yockey of Carroll, Marti Usher of Harlan, Mary Jane (Jeff) Mohr of Council Bluffs, and Karen (Jeff) Scott of South Lyon, MI; son Steve (Vicki) Harper of Rockwell City; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

    OMAHA -- Camilla Ahrenholtz and Scott Buchanan both of Omaha will marry on April 24 in a ceremony at the Field Club of Omaha.    Parents of the couple are Mary Ahrenholtz, Harlan; Clark Ahrenholtz, Elk Horn; and Doug and Dawn Buchanan, Omaha.    Camilla is a 2007 graduate of Harlan Community High School. She is employed as a counselor at Lifegate Church.    Scott is a 2005 graduate of Burke High School.

Animal Rescue League opens in Harlan
