    LOGAN -- George Franklin Oliver, 66, Logan,  formerly of Harlan, died January 16 at his home.    Services will be held Monday, Jan. 31 at 2 p.m.

    EARLING -- Lois Jean Dresen, 88, Earling, died January 25 at Myrtue Medical Center.    Services will be held Friday, Jan. 28 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Earling with burial in the St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Earling.    A wake service was held Thursday, Jan. 27 at 7 p.m. at the church.  Visitation was Thursday from 5-7 p.m.

    KIRKMAN -- Joyce Ann Daringer, 89, Kirkman, died January 22 at Salem Lutheran Nursing Home.    Services will be held Sunday, Jan. 30 at 3 p.m. at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan with burial in the Red Line Cemetery.  Visitation is Sunday from 1-3 p.m.

    ATLANTIC -- Diana Petersen, 55, Atlantic, died January 22 at Cass County Memorial Hospital.    Services will be held Friday, Jan. 28 at 11 a.m. at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Avoca.  Visitation will be Friday from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home.    Petersen is survived by sister Lisa Petersen of Avoca; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

    ELK HORN -- Ronald Dean Petersen, 86, Elk Horn, died Thursday, Jan.

    FREMONT, NE -- Leo Merle Hough, 86, Fremont, NE, died January 20.    Visitation with the family at the funeral home will be Friday, Jan. 28, from 5-7 p.m.  A Celebration of Life ceremony is set for Saturday, Jan. 29, at 10:30 a.m.

    WALNUT -- Gladys Petersen, 92, Walnut, died January 10 at Myrtue Medical Center.    She is survived by her daughter Jackie (Dan) Riessen of Avoca, Iowa; grandchildren Trevor (Melanie) Riessen of Fremont, Nebraska; Randi Riessen of Shelby, Iowa; Catelyn (Nick) Meysenburg of Lincoln, Nebraska; 3 great grandchildren: Alex and Emmy Riessen of Fremont, Nebraska; Beaudin Meysenburg of Lincoln, Nebraska.    A 3 p.m.

    HARLAN -- Leroy J. Anastasi, 95, Harlan, died January 21 at Elm Crest Assisted Living.    No services are planned at this time.    Anastasi is survived by daughters Mary Jo (Tony) Sondag of Harlan, Vicki (Gary) Fagan of Harlan, and Kris (Dave) Pope of Harlan; and brother Ray (Frances) Anastasi of Harlan.    Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan is in charge of arrangements.

    ATCHISON, KS -- Sister Amelia Nowatzke, OSB, 93, a Benedictine sister of Mount St. Scholastica, Atchison, Kans., formerly of Panama, died Tuesday, Jan. 18, at the monastery. Funeral services are pending.    Nowatzke is survived by nieces and nephews and her monastic family.    Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
