    NEW BRIGHTON, MN -- Becky Jo Kersten, 68, New Brighton, MN, died Friday, March 5 in New Brighton.    A celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 5 at 2 p.m.

    HARLAN -- LaVerne Dale Will, 78, Harlan, died February 24 at Select Specialty Hospice.    Private graveside services were held Monday, Feb. 28 at 2 p.m.

    WESTPHALIA -- Anna Rueschenberg, 95, Westphalia, died February 23 at her home.    Services were held Saturday, Feb. 26 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Westphalia with burial in the St.

    WAVERLY -- Jonas Damian Schnack, 47, Waverly, formerly of Harlan, died Sunday, Feb.

    ELK HORN -- Funeral services for 74 year old Janet Jensen of Elk Horn will be held on Monday, Feb. 28 at 10:30 a.m. at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Kimballton with burial at Bethany Lutheran Cemetery in Kimballton.      The Ohde Funeral Home in Kimballton is in charge of arrangements, where friends my visit with the family from 3-5 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 27.    Jensen died on Friday, Feb. 18 at her home in Elk Horn.

    WALNUT -- Craig Jay Christensen, 62, Walnut, died, Sunday, Feb.

    HARLAN -- Rocket Herning, 76, Harlan, died January 6.          Rocket is survived by his wife, Karen; sons Thomas (Jackie) Schumacher; Roger (Jackie) Schumacher; Dan (Sarah) Schumacher; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.    Pauley Jones Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

    AVOCA -- Bernie Mann, 90, Avoca, died February 21 at Avoca Specialty Care.    Services will be held Friday, Feb. 25 at 11 a.m. at United Church of Avoca with burial in the Graceland Cemetery.  Visitation was held Thursday, Feb. 24 from 5-7 p.m.

    WESTPHALIA -- Anna Rueschenberg, 95, Westphaia, died at her home Wednesday, Feb. 23.  Services are pending at Pauley Jones Funeral Home.

    IRWIN -- Funeral services Caroline Dent, 92, Irwin, will be held on Friday, Feb. 18 at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Irwin with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery near Irwin.    The Ohde Funeral Home in Manning is in charge of arrangements where friends could visit with the family from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 17.  Dent died late Sunday, Feb.

    HARLAN -- George T. Schwery, 91, Harlan, died February 15 at Hansen House.    Services will be held Saturday, Feb. 19 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s of the Assumption Church in Panama with burial in the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Panama.  A rosary will be held Friday, Feb. 18 at 7 p.m. at St. Mary’s Parish Center in Panama.  Visitation is Friday from 4-8 p.m.

    ELK HORN -- Matthew Summers, 51, Elk Horn, died February 13 at Myrtue Medical Center.    Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 18 from 5-7 p.m. at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan with burial in the Harlan Cemetery.    Summers is survived by his mother, Judy (Brace) Summers of Harlan; brother Charlie Summers, Jr. of Harlan; and nieces Carly Summers of Waukee, Stacy (Mike) Christensen of Harlan, and Emilee (Steven) Russell of Omaha, NE.

    HARLAN -- Beverly Ann Burmeister, 79, Harlan, died Friday, Feb. 11 in Harlan.    A private funeral and graveside services will be held.    Friends may call Tuesday, Feb. 15 from 3-7 p.m. with family greeting friends from 5-7 p.m.
