From day one, not only was he winning over the hearts of his parents, but everyone he came across.  He loved his food and enjoyed almost everything he tried.

Tom then worked in bridge construction as a crane and heavy equipment operator for several years.

Marianne Jane (Savereide) Pauley was born on January 10, 1929 in Harlan, IA to Arthur H. and Luella S. (Comstock) Savereide. She was baptized at United Methodist Church in Harlan. She graduated from Harlan High School in 1947. Marianne was united in marriage to Richard W. Pauley on February 15, 1948 and shared 74 years of marriage. She then attended the Creighton University School of Nursing, graduating in 1976 and received her Registered Nurse license. She was united in marriage to Paul S. Johnston at Saint Michael’s Catholic Church in Harlan, Iowa, on June 5, 1976.

Chuck Lyon

Chuck Lyon, son of Rose and William Lyon was born on December 4, 1940 in Harlan, Iowa. After graduating high school, he enlisted to the Army National Guard for 5 years until he was honorably discharged. He was married and had two sons, Chad and Scott.Chuck was a talented construction supervisor, building roads and friendships his entire career.

Martha Ann Gross, the daughter of John Leo and Agnes Mary (Coppersmith) Stoll, was born on the family farm near Clyde, Missouri, on July 29, 1937, the tenth of 13 children. She received the sacraments of Baptism, Penance, Eucharist, Confirmation, and Matrimony at Immaculate Conception Basilica in Conception, Missouri.

Jose Leal

Jose Leal was born to Petra and Jose Leal Sr. on July 2, 1939 in Denver Colorado. As a kid, Jose attended school at Bryant Webster Elementary and later graduated from North High School in Denver, Colorado. He was baptized and confirmed at Holy Ghost Church in Denver, Colorado.Jose enlisted in the Army in 1956 and trained as a combat engineer in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. However, he took a drastic career change and became a paratrooper.
