Jacquetta Jenkins, 76

    ELK HORN -- Jacquetta Ruth Jenkins, 76, Elk Horn, died November 2 at the Salem Lutheran Home in Elk Horn.    Services will be held Saturday, Nov. 12 at 10:30 a.m. at Congregational United Church of Christ in Harlan.    Jenkins is survived by daughters Denise (Greg) Brown of Wichita, KS, Lisa Hansen of Audubon, and Linda Beckel of Council Bluffs; son William “Will” (Heidi) Jenkins, Jr.

Paul Stephany, 89

    HARLAN -- Paul P. Stephany, 89, Harlan, died November 3 at Nebraska Heart Institute and Heart Hospital.    Services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 8 at 11 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Harlan with burial in the Omaha National Cemetery in Omaha, NE.  Visitation is Tuesday from 9-11 a.m.

Auditor Race Highlights Ballot

    COUNTY – The race for Shelby County Auditor highlights the ballot for next Tuesday’s general election, with incumbent Marsha Carter (D-Defiance) and challenger Mark Maxwell (R-Harlan) each seeking election to the position.    Polls are open from 7 a.m.-9 p.m.

Kaster finishes 64th in return to Fort Dodge
