 FORT DODGE -- Harlan Community finished in 16th place with an 0-4 record at the Fort Dodge Softball Tournament this past weekend, facing a pair of top-five ranked teams at the Harlan Rogers Sports Complex. On Friday (June 16), HCHS was defeated by Fort Dodge 9-2 in the first round and lost 7-2 vs. top-ranked (Class 2-A) North Union in the consolation bracket.

Harlan City Council tables minors in bars ordinance; input sought from public

HARLAN - The Harlan City Council voted to table a pending ordinance which was in its second reading that would allow minors to accompany adults into businesses having an alcohol license until 10 p.m.
