ONSLOW -- Helen Arline Jorgensen, 92, Onslow, died Wednesday, Oct. 21.    Services were held Saturday, Oct. 24 at 10:30 a.m.

    ALGONA -- Clarence “Mike” Jensen, 89, Algona, formerly of Minden, died Monday, Oct. 26 at the West Bend Care Center.    Services will be Saturday, Nov. 7 at 10:30 a.m. at Grace Church in Algona with burial in the Minden Cemetery at a later date.    Jensen is survived by three sons, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Jeanette Swenson, nieces, nephews and friends. 

    HARLAN -- Nina Virginia DePue, 94, Harlan, died October 27 at Elm Crest Retirement Community.    Private graveside services will be held.  There will be no public visitation.    DePue is survived by daughter Mary (Randall) Armentrout of Harlan; brothers Ronald (Karen) Genco of Bellevue and John Genco of Phoenix, AZ; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.    Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan is in charge of arrangements.

    AVOCA -- Alice L. Falk, 97, Avoca, formerly of Minden, died Tuesday, Oct. 27 in Avoca.    Services will be held Friday, Oct. 30 at 10:30 a.m. at Minden United Church of Christ in Minden with burial in the Minden Cemetery.  Friends were asked to call Thursday, Oct. 29 from 2-8 p.m. with family greeting friends from 5-7 p.m.

    IRWIN -- CDR Douglas Patrick Kiem, 50, Irwin, died October 22 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.    Services were held Monday, Oct. 26 at 11 a.m.

    ELK HORN -- Charles “Chuck” Bergstrom, 85, Elk Horn, formerly of Harlan, died Thursday, Oct. 22 in Elk Horn.    Services were held Monday, Oct. 26 at 11 a.m.

    HARLAN -- David John Turner, 61, Harlan, died October 18 at his home.    Graveside services were held Thursday, Oct. 22 at 2 p.m. at Branson Cemetery in Loveland.    Turner is survived by sons David Turner Jr.

    WEST DES MOINES -- Donald “Si” Gene Mathiasen, 86, West Des Moines, formerly of Harlan, died October 15.    Services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 28 at 10 a.m. at Edgewater Retirement Community in West Des Moines with inurnment to follow at 2:30 p.m.

    KIRKMAN -- Kelly Lane Fiscus, 64, Kirkman, died October 14 in Kirkman.    Services were held Monday, Oct. 19 at 10:30 a.m.

    OMAHA, NE -- Lisa Ann Keane, 54, Omaha, NE, died October 12 at Immanuel Medical Center.    Services will be held Friday, Oct. 16 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s of the Assumption Church in Panama with burial in the St. Mary’s Cemetery at Panama.  A wake service was held Thursday, Oct. 15 at 7 p.m. at the church.  Visitation was Thursday from 3-9 p.m.

    ELK HORN -- Charles Ray Walter, 75, Elk Horn, died October 9 at Salem Lutheran Home in Elk Horn.    Services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 14 at 10:30 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Walnut with burial in the Layton Township Cemetery at Walnut.  Visitation is Tuesday, Oct. 13 from 3-9 p.m. with family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m. at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Avoca.    Walter is survived by his wife, Gloria J.

Skalla, 91, Avoca, died October 9 at Myrtue Medical Center.    Services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 14 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Our Lady of Fatima Church in Portsmouth with burial in the St. Mary’s Cemetery at Portsmouth.    A wake service will be held Tuesday, Oct. 13 at 7 p.m. at the church.  Visitation is Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. with family greeting friends from 5-8 p.m.

    OMAHA -- Elizabeth Jean “Betty” Klein, 80, Omaha, NE, died September 24 in Omaha.    Services were held Monday, Sept. 28 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Omaha with a graveside service held at 2:30 p.m.

    HARLAN -- Betty A. Williams, 86, Harlan, died Wednesday, Oct. 7 in Omaha, NE.    Services were held Monday, Oct. 12 at 10:30 a.m. at St.

    HARLAN -- Edwin “Gene” Eugene Monson, 75, Harlan, died October 7 at Elm Crest Assisted Living.    Services will be held Saturday, Oct. 10 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Irwin with burial in the Oak Hill Cemetery at Irwin.  Family will greet friends Friday, Oct. 9 from 5-7 p.m.
