(Reinig) Slaven, 88, Papillion, NE, formerly of Portsmouth, died Saturday, Nov. 12 at her home.    Services will be held Saturday, Nov. 19 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Portsmouth with burial in the St. Mary’s Cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday, Nov. 18 from 5-8 p.m.

    AVOCA -- Martin “Marty” LeRoy Schuemann, 74, Avoca, died November 10 at Mercy Hospital.    Services were held Monday, Nov. 14 at 10:30 a.m.

    KIRKMAN -- Jon Weston Rasmussen, 71, Kirkman, died November 9 at Myrtue Medical Center.    Services will be held Monday, Nov. 14 at 11 a.m. at United Methodist Church in Kirkman with burial in the Rose Hill Cemetery at Kirkman.  Visitation is Sunday, Nov. 13 from 5-7 p.m.

    AVOCA -- Helen M. Henderson, 104, Avoca, formerly of Harlan, died Monday, Nov. 7 in Harlan.    No services are planned.  As per Helen’s wishes, her body was donated to Creighton University.    Henderson is survived by daughter Kay (Bill) Schechinger of Keller, TX; son Dr.

    HOLLAND -- Ralph J. Sternhagen, 54, Holland, died Sunday, Nov. 6 at Grundy County Memorial Hospital in Grundy Center.    Services will be held Saturday, Nov. 12 at 10:30 a.m. at the American Lutheran Church in Grundy Center with burial in the Rose Hill Cemetery at Grundy Center.  Visitation is Friday, Nov. 11 from 5-8 p.m.

    HARLAN -- Isabel Klein, 92, Harlan, died November 7 at Elm Crest Assisted Living.    Services will be held Friday, Nov. 11 at 11 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Harlan with burial in the Harlan Cemetery.  A wake service was held Thursday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan.  Visitation was Thursday from noon-8 p.m.

    ELK HORN -- Jacquetta Ruth Jenkins, 76, Elk Horn, died November 2 at the Salem Lutheran Home in Elk Horn.    Services will be held Saturday, Nov. 12 at 10:30 a.m. at Congregational United Church of Christ in Harlan.    Jenkins is survived by daughters Denise (Greg) Brown of Wichita, KS, Lisa Hansen of Audubon, and Linda Beckel of Council Bluffs; son William “Will” (Heidi) Jenkins, Jr.

    HARLAN -- Paul P. Stephany, 89, Harlan, died November 3 at Nebraska Heart Institute and Heart Hospital.    Services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 8 at 11 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Harlan with burial in the Omaha National Cemetery in Omaha, NE.  Visitation is Tuesday from 9-11 a.m.

    AMES -- Ermelin L. Fallgatter, 94, Ames, formerly of Harlan, died Wednesday, Nov.

    HARLAN -- Agnes “Aggie” Gaul, 83, Harlan, died November 1 at Elm Crest Retirement Community.    Services will be held Saturday, Nov. 5 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Harlan with burial in the Harlan Cemetery.  A wake service will be held Friday, Nov. 4 at 7 p.m. at the church.  Visitation is Friday from 1-8 p.m. with family greeting friends from 5-8 p.m.

    COUNCIL BLUFFS - Virginia E. (Copeland) Poulos, 76, Council Bluffs, died Sunday, October 30.    Funeral arrangements are pending for the former Harlanite.    She is survived by her sons Kenneth (Nichole) Poulos, Alan Poulos, and Danny (Laura) Poulos, and daughter Andrea (Michael) Gold.

    SPRINGFIELD, MO - Phillip Scott Finley, 57, of Springfield, MO, died October 19. He was born May 16, 1959, in Salina, KS, to Rex and Barbara Finley.    He is survived by his father, R. Gary Finley, of Springfield, MO; mother, Barbara Finley of Rogers, AR; and brothers, Rex G. “Dusty” Finley II of Anchorage, AK and Stuart Finley of Elkins, AR.

    AVOCA - Irma E. Kock, 93, died on Friday, Oct. 28 at Myrtue Medical Center, Harlan.    A visitation was held on Mon., Oct. 31 from 6 - 8  p.m. at Pauley Jones Funeral Home, Avoca. Services were held on Tues., Nov. 1 at 10:30 a.m.

    SHENANDOAH, TX -- Norma E. Adams, 90, Shendoah, TX, formerly of Harlan, died September 22 in Shenandoah.    Services will be held Thursday, Oct. 27 at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Harlan.  Family will greet friends from 9-11 a.m.
