COUNTY – Long-term care facilities in Iowa continue to see additional outbreaks of COVID-19, including in Shelby County where the state is reporting Elm Crest Retirement Community in Harlan and Salem Lutheran Home in Elk Horn with a combined 127 positive cases, 11 of which have been reported in the last 14 days. In Iowa, 155 long-term care facilities have had outbreaks.
CEDAR FALLS -- It was a season of thrilling big plays on both sides of the ball, impressive comeback wins and approximately 60 young men playing every down of every game for each other. HARLAN -- Charles Blum, 85, Harlan, died November 25 at Myrtue Medical Center. Private family graveside services were held Monday, Nov. 30 at 2 p.m. at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Panama. Blum is survived by sisters Sr. Joyce Blum of Panama, Alice (Jerry) Zimmerman of Minden and Jeanne (LeRoy) Heese of Defiance. Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan was in charge of arrangements.
