Assman regional winner 2021 Iowa Conservation Farmer of the Year Award

    HARLAN -- Bruce Alan Waddell, 64, Harlan, died December 7 at Bergan Mercy Medical Center.    Visitation will be Sunday, Dec. 13 from 5-7 p.m. at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan with burial in the Harlan Cemetery.    Waddell is survived by his wife, Brenda, of Harlan; daughters Ashley (Randy) Mether of Harlan and Farren (Nathan) Johnson of Malcom; and sister Carolyn (Dean) Finken of Atlantic.

    CARROLL -- Brandon Stephen Nelson, 22, Carroll, died December 5.    Services will be held Saturday, Dec. 11 at 3 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Harlan with burial in the Harlan Cemetery.  Visitation is Saturday from 1-3 p.m.

    HARLAN -- Mary Dell Hayes, 64, Harlan, died November 29 in Des Moines.    Services were held Thursday, Dec. 9 at 11 a.m. at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan with burial in the Harlan Cemetery.  Visitation was Thursday from 9-11 a.m.

Bradney McQueen, 67

    HARLAN -- Bradney Ray McQueen, 67, Harlan, died December 7 at Methodist Hospital.    Services will be held Sunday, Dec. 12 at 3 p.m. at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan with burial in the Farragut Cemetery at a later date.  Visitation is Sunday from 1-3 p.m.

HCHS cheerleaders participate in Honor Cheer at UNI-Dome
