COUNCIL BLUFFS -- Trailing 4-1 with 27:19 left in the match, Harlan Community mounted a late comeback that fell one goal short in a 4-3 boys soccer loss at Council Bluffs Thomas Jefferson last Tuesday.
HCHS narrowed the gap by scoring twice off Ethan Knudson corner kicks in a span of 66 seconds - first on a header goal by Drayke Eshelman and then on a TJ own goal with 15:13 remaining.
The Cyclones were unable to force a tie down the stretch, but head coach Dave Voge was very pleased with the second-half effort of his team.
