Marian Rose Pauley, 84

Marian Rose Pauley, age 84, of Neola, Iowa, passed away September 30, 2022 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Marian was born in Vail, Iowa on January 25, 1938 to the late Frank and Mary (Cavanagh) Schwieso. She lived on a farm outside of Vail before moving to Neola in the 1940’s. Marian attended St. Joseph’s Catholic School in Neola graduating in 1956. She attended college in Ottumwa, Iowa before returning to Neola and taking a clerk job in Omaha. In 1958 Marian married the love of her life, Neil Pauley. They set out as a farming couple near Shelby, Iowa. They worked hard there over 45 years before retiring into Neola in 2001. In addition to her parents, Marian was preceded in death by her husband, Neil Pauley; brother, Robert Schwieso and grandson, Seth Pauley. Survived by children, Rosemary (Tim), Randy (Julia), Linda (Harry) and Rob (Sandi); many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visitation with the family, Tuesday, 5-7 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Neola. Mass of Christian Burial, Wednesday, 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Neola. Interment St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Neola with a lunch following in the parish hall. Memorials are suggested to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Chanticleer Scholarship Fund or the American Red Cross.
