Harlan receives $50,000 from RAGBRAI

DES MOINES — Members of Harlan’s RAGBRAI Committee attended the RAGBRAI Overnight Town Meeting in Des Moines February 27, 2026, where Harlan was presented with a $50,000 check for agreeing to host RAGBRAI. City Administrator Gervas Mgonja said the $50,000 will be used to help offset costs associated with hosting the event, including public safety, traffic control, sanitation, entertainment, and other logistical preparations needed to accommodate the thousands of riders and visitors expected in the community.
