Gessert and Bridgewater exchange vows

 HARLAN ­— Justice Gessert and Dustin Bridgewater of Des Moines were wed October 28, 2023 at St. Michael’s Church in Harlan. Father Clement Owusu officiated.
 Justice is the daughter of Shawn and Renée Gessert of Harlan. Dustin’s parents are Debra and Alan Shriver of Jefferson and Rebecca and Larry Bridgewater of Texas.
 Jennifer Brooker of Des Moines was maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Courtney Tigges of Carroll, Brandi Dolash of Des Moines and Alexis McKinney of Des Moines. The groom’s nieces, Olivia and Naomi Sebourn of Jefferson were junior bridesmaids. Flower girls were Lydia Sebourn, Sophia Sebourn, and Eloise Sebourn of Jefferson and Aubrey Tigges of Carroll. Chelsea Mustfeldt of Kansas and Jayden Gessert of Harlan were personal attendants and guest book attendants.
 Joe Benson was best man. Groomsmen were Kyle Bettey of Des Moines, Thysen Gessert of Harlan, and Aaron Lawrence of Des Moines. Junior groomsmen were Roman and Charles Sebourn of Jefferson. Kyle McAleer, Lucas Martin and Weston Adcock, all of Jefferson were ushers. Ring bearer was Arlo Dolash.
 A reception was held following the ceremony at Corley Community Hall in Corley. Darwin and Mary Gessert were host and hostess.
 Justice is a graduate of Harlan Community High School and Perdue Global. She is employed as a registered nurse.
 Dustin graduated from Jefferson high School. He is currently employed as a truck driver for XPO. The couple will honeymoon at a later date.
